The Domain for Your Identity, Online and Onchain

Introductory Paragraph

Register your .Kred domain - a web address that can also connect to the blockchain. .Kred is for individuals and brands who want a short, memorable domain that bridges the traditional web and Web3. Operated by KredTLD Pty Ltd, .Kred has been part of the Web3 ecosystem since 2018.

About .Kred (Longer Description)

Every .Kred domain works as a standard website address. With optional ENS (Ethereum Name Service) activation, the same domain can also serve as a blockchain wallet name - meaning you can use YourName.Kred as both your website URL and the address where people send you crypto and tokenized digital assets. Every .Kred domain also includes the option to activate a Kredentials page - a verified profile where every fact carries its source and date, published in a format AI assistants can read and cite - or an AI-optimized Lander while you decide what comes next, at no extra cost. Whether you're a creator, a business, or a Web3 enthusiast, .Kred gives you one unified identity across the traditional and decentralized web.

Key Features & Benefits

Web3-Ready Domain

Every .Kred domain is a fully functional web address. Optionally activate ENS integration to also use your domain as a blockchain wallet address - one name for your website and your wallet.

Included Kredentials Page or AI Lander

Every .Kred registration, from any accredited registrar, includes the registrant's option to activate a verified Kredentials page - every fact sourced and dated, published with a machine-readable layer (llms.txt, facts.json, JSON-LD) that AI assistants can quote - or an AI-optimized Lander for names not yet pointed at a website. No additional registry fee, and no build work required from the registrar.

Tradeable Domain Token

On activation, the registrant receives an ERC-721 Domain Token on Base. This token represents ownership and enables instant transfers and trading on NFT marketplaces like OpenSea.

FAQs

For Registrants

Anyone - individuals, businesses, and organizations. .Kred is open for general registration with no eligibility restrictions.

.Kred domains can be optionally activated on the Ethereum Name Service (ENS), allowing the same domain to function as both a traditional web address and a blockchain wallet name. This dual DNS + ENS capability is unique among ICANN-accredited TLDs.

After registering your .Kred domain, you can activate ENS by visiting Domains.Kred, connecting your Ethereum-compatible wallet, and validating domain ownership via a DNS TXT record. Once activated, anyone can send tokens to YourName.Kred instead of a long hexadecimal wallet address.

The Kred Domain Token is a unique ERC-721 NFT issued on the Base blockchain when you activate your .Kred domain on Domains.Kred. The token grants control of your domain's onchain settings and can be transferred or traded on compatible NFT marketplaces.

Every .Kred registration includes the option to activate a Kredentials page: a verified profile record where every fact carries its source and date, anything unverified is published as an open question, and a machine-readable layer (llms.txt, facts.json, JSON-LD) lets AI assistants quote the record accurately. It is included with the registration at no additional registry fee, regardless of which accredited registrar the domain was purchased from.

The AI-optimized Lander is an alternative to the Kredentials page for names that are not yet pointed at a website: a discoverable holding page that keeps the domain useful and readable by search and AI assistants instead of sitting on a blank parking page. It is also included with every .Kred registration at no additional registry fee.

Both are activated by the registrant after the domain is registered - no action is required from the registrar and no additional registry fee applies. Registrants who prefer to use their .Kred domain as a conventional web address can simply point DNS at an existing site and skip both.

No. A .Kred domain works as a standard web address out of the box. ENS activation is entirely optional - you can use your .Kred domain just like any other domain name.

.Kred is operated by an ICANN-approved registry and honors ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP), Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS), and operates its own Complaint Resolution Service (CRS) for addressing infringement and abuse.

Yes. .Kred domains support standard inter-registrar transfers per ICANN's Transfer Policy.

No. Both are provided at the registry level and activated by the registrant after registration. Registrars sell the domain exactly as they sell any other .Kred registration - there is no API to implement, no provisioning step, and no support burden on the registrar.

No. Both are included with every .Kred registration at no additional registry fee. The wholesale fees in Schedule B are the only registry charges; retail pricing remains entirely at each registrar's discretion.

Yes. Registrars are encouraged to present them as included features of a .Kred registration. Because they carry no additional registry cost, any retail value a registrar attaches to them is margin - and the AI-discoverability angle is a differentiator most TLDs cannot offer.

ENS Activation Flow (for registrant communications)

  1. Visit www.Domains.Kred and connect an Ethereum-compatible Web3 wallet.
  2. Enter the .Kred domain name.
  3. Validate domain ownership by creating a TXT record in DNS settings.
  4. Receive the ENS Domain Token - ownership of this token grants control of the domain on ENS.

Optional: Direct API Integration

Streamline ENS provisioning directly within your platform.

The registry provides the Kred Domain Token APIs (part of the SocialOS API platform) for registrars who wish to integrate ENS provisioning directly into their platform - giving registrants a seamless, native activation experience.
